Wyburgh in Finland, June 19. O. S.

On the 17th in the Morning, there happen'd a violent Storm here of Thunder and Lightning, by which some Houses in the Eastern Part of the Town were immediately set on Fire, and the Flames spread with such Fury, that in 6 Hours Time, the whole City was reduced to Ashes, except the Russian Church, two little Houses, and a Magazine of Powder. By this sad Accident, several Persons have lost their Lives, as well as all the Cattle in the City. The Misery of the Inhabitants is inexpressible; and as all their Provisions are consumed, they are oblig'd to apply for Relief to the Masters of the Ships which are in the Harbour.
