MOBILE, Ala. - (ANP) - A federal district judge here Thursday granted a motion of the Mobile City Lines, Inc., franchise-holders for area bus service, to dismiss a bus integration suit. However, Judge Daniel H. Thomas gave the plaintiffs in the action 30 days in which to amend their complaint.
At the same time, Judge Thomas denied a petition by the City of Mobile, codefendants in the suit, and the three city commissioners, to dismiss the suit against them.
While Judge Thomas gave no reasons in his court order for the dismissal of the suit against the bus line or the denial of the city's motion for dismissal, it is believed that the avowed position taken by the Mobile City Lines more than a year ago that it would not enforce segregation on the buses might have been responsible for the court disassociating the transportation company from the case.

Plaintiffs in the action are Norman Evans and Matthew Boney, two young war veterans, who charged that they were ordered by a policeman on the night of Feb. 22 to move from the front to the rear of a Crestline bus under threat of arrest if they did not obey. They said the officer demanded
