Last Saturday Capt. Phillips arrived here in 8 Weeks from Jamaica, who informs that there were 13 Sail of English Men of War, mostly of the Line, at Kingston and on a cruise, and that they keep so good a look out that hardly any Thing escapes them: We also learn, that a Prize Ship taken by the Princess Mary, and Edinburgh Men of War, was re-taken by a French Privateer of 6 Carriage Guns and 80 Men, off Port Morant, after a running Fight of four Hours, when the Privateer boarding them they were oblig'd to surrender, having only 15 Hands, but the next Day they were met with by the Lynn, Sphynx and Assistance Men of War, who re-took her a second Time, and sent her safe into Port. The Markets were very low when Capt. Phillips left Jamaica.
