A FACT AND A QUESTION.

The editors of the Intelligencer, in reply to an interrogatory by a committee, gave, as a reason why Congress should not change the present mode of printing, that Congress and the Executive might come into collision, and that in that case Congress would need the aid of the press, and therefore should not relinquish the printing patronage, thus admitting that the editors were in the market to fight for those who pay them for it. Now we find that paper taking the side of Mexico against the United States, and of President Santa Anna against President Tyler. How is this? Is it because President Santa Anna pays, and President Tyler does not? If so, how much does Santa Anna pay?
