Full Text

Ohio.--From our exchange papers we learn that the democracy of this state are preparing for the next contest with much earnestness. Besides numerous county meetings now holding in every section, there will assemble on the 17th of August next at Columbus a State Convention of Democratic Young men expected to be composed of the most distinguished scions of democracy. At one of the county conventions the following resolution was adopted from which we may infer the kind of spirit that animates the people.

Resolved, That it is time for the laboring classes of the community to awake, gird on their armor and war against an internal enemy--a spirit of aristocracy more dangerous to the liberties of the people of this Union than any war which could be waged against them by the most powerful foreign nation on earth.
