Boston, Sept. 12.-A case of supposed
murder, backed by the strongest cir-
cumstantial evidence has been cleared
up. John Ring of St. John, N. B., a de-
tective, assisted by local inspectors,
found in this city Mrs. Samuel Mowatt
a former resident of Oak Road, who was
thought to have been murdered by her
husband, who directly after Mrs. Mo-
watt's disappearance sold his property
and left for parts unknown. So positive
were the claims that murder had been
committed that Hon. A. S. White, at-
torney general of the province, ordered
an investigation, which was very
searching. Mr. Ring has been at work
on the case for ten months. Mrs. Mo-
watt, when found, said she was tired of
the humdrum life of the country.
