Admits Firing Circus

Alamandris Ford, above, 16 year old negro youth of Pittsburgh, Pa., has allegedly confessed to setting fire to the menagerie tent of the Ringling Brothers, Barnum Bailey circus pitched in Cleveland, causing death to 40 prized animals and property damage estimated at $200,000. The negro, who was first apprehended by railroad detectives while riding a freight train between Cleveland and Pittsburgh, was quoted as saying he set the fire to get revenge for being dismissed from his job as a roustabout.
