NEW-YORK. October 20.

Capt. Bedlow, who arrived here on Wednesday last in 21 Days from Santa Croix, acquaints us, that on the 18th of last Month, they had there a violent Storm, or rather Hurricane, which lasted near 24 Hours, in which Time he was obliged to slip his Cable and put out to Sea. When the Storm abated he got off again. The next Day he returned to Santa Croix, where the Sea had rose so high, that many Hogsheads of Sugars were washed away in the Streets, and considerable damage done to other Vessels.
