In the event of a war between Great Britain and France, the emperor of Germany has, it is said, determined that the strictest neutrality shall be observed in his ports in the Adriatic.
Letters from Hamburgh state, that Prussia has engaged, in the event of a war, to occupy with her troops the banks of the Elbe as far as Cuxhaven, and the whole electorate of Hanover. The same letters express much apprehensions that in case of hostilities Hamburgh and its territory will be occupied by French or Prussian troops in order to prevent the introduction of British manufactures into that part of Germany.
