Mr. Rich:--Please say to our friends in Independence we are grateful for their affection and warm hearted liberality since we have been among them--especially that silk dress, satin vest, also the donation visit at the Montour House, with that tree bearing fruit (real cash), and very many, many things that made it pleasant to all and quite profitable to us. As we are not expected to return like for like, we pray that all may find access to the Tree of Life, and bring forth fruit, "Holiness to the Lord." Salvation of sinners is the desire of the Church, and for this will we labor. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Purdy. Also, Mr. Editor, please accept the thanks of our S.S. children, for the interest you have taken in us and them. We think hereafter they will love to read our home papers better than ever. May you be prospered greatly,
Wm. Sampson,
Lois C. Sampson.
