ALEXANDRIA: SATURDAY MORNING, JULY 27, 1839.

A letter from Indiana, which is published in the Baltimore Patriot, prepares us for a Whig loss in that State at the coming election. Also, the Administration presses continue to affirm most positively that the Whigs will be routed in Tennessee and North Carolina. As we never make predictions ourselves, about elections, we repeat that we now notice these things, that our readers may see how they will correspond with the actual results at the close of next month. The Whigs do not boast as much as their adversaries, but they say "they will try." If they all try they can do. They are wise to act rather than talk. A few weeks will determine the contest.
