For the Liberty Advocate.

Mr. Editor,—You will please give publicity to the following, for the benefit of some of our farmers, who are frequently in the habit of bragging on their agricultural productions:

From one grain of Barley I counted seventy-one heads; I counted the grains on one head and found fifty-five, and it was only an ordinary head. Also, from one grain of Rye I found seventy-two heads; I counted the grains on one head and found there was sixty, it also being only an ordinary head. The production of the last mentioned grain is 4320 grains—and that of the first mentioned is 3550 grains. Now, Mr. Editor, can this be beat?
