CHICAGO—The strange marital mosaic patterned in Edith Mason's divorce from Dr. Maurice A. Bernstein was revealed in detail yesterday with release of complete records in the case by the Dallas, Tex., court, where the opera star obtained her decree April 14.

The Chicago Civic Opera company announces that neither Miss Mason nor her previous husband, Maestro Giorgio Polacco, whom friends say she is planning to remarry, are to be with the opera during the coming season. Polacco became one of the most famous of the directors of the opera organization here.

In her original petition for divorce, disclosed yesterday, Miss Mason charged that Dr. Bernstein married her for the purpose of obtaining money from her and living in grand style at her expense."

Dr. Bernstein alleged that Polacco once threatened to kill both of them and himself, and that Miss Mason once seized a revolver and was about to shoot herself when Polacco took the gun from her.
