There is reason to believe, that all the British ships in the ports of Russia are actually under embargo at this moment. The latest arrival from St. Petersburgh is that of the American vessel Pigou, which sailed from thence on the 26th ult. On the preceding day information was received from the British Ambassador, that it was probable an embargo would be laid on all British shipping immediately, and he therefore recommended that they should proceed to sea with all possible expedition. In consequence, about 15 vessels, among which was the Pigou, came out of Cronstadt. The latter is the only ship of the fleet yet arrived, but the remainder may be hourly expected. There were not, we understand, more than eight or nine British vessels at Cronstadt or St. Petersburgh, when the Pigou sailed.
