LONDON, January 27:

HOUSE of COMMONS.

MONDAY, JAN. 26.

MR. GREY'S MOTION FOR A NEGOCIATION

FOR PEACE.

(Concluded from our last.)

Mr. H. Thornton expressed his intention to

Friend, laid the motion of this day upon
the table, and on a view of it, it was agreed upon. On this they joined issue:
but the Right Hon. Gentleman (Mr.
Pitt), from what causes he will not pretend to divine, it seems, has since changed
his mind; perhaps the bad and gloomy
state of affairs at home and abroad, has
led the Right Hon. Gentleman to bring
forward this an amendment, as an evasion,
