LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Aug. 9.—
Twenty-five of Arkansas' 75 counties have contracted for reservation space on the Arkansas Traveling Exposition, leaving Little Rock immediately after the state fair in October, according to announcement by J. H. Hand, managing director of the exhibit special.
Directors are confident that practically every county and every product and industry in Arkansas will be represented when the train leaves for the East. The train will visit many of the larger Eastern industrial centers.
The purpose of the special train is to acquaint and interest the financial and industrial centers of the North and East with the undeveloped resource of Arkansas. Each county will feature the product for which it is noted and individual owners and corporations will emphasize the special line for which they are noted.
Mississippi County will feature in an interesting manner cotton and cotton products. Cotton exhibits will also be featured by other cotton belt counties.
Lonoke and Arkansas counties will display the rice resources of the rice belt. Union and Ouachita counties will show the state's newly developed oil and gas possibilities. The various vegetables, fruits, grains and minerals for which the different sections and counties are noted will be interesting features.
Hydro-electric power will have a part in the exhibition. Three of the leading power projects of the state, with a total capital of $75,000,000 and with an aggregate of 500,000 horsepower have completed final arrangements for space on the exposition special.
