For the first time we had the pleasure on last Tuesday night of attending one of Miss McCloskey's school exhibitions. Much praise has been given her and them in the past and much is still due her and will be, we have no doubt, in the future. For four years this school has been under her supervision, and most satisfactorily has she conducted it, and most faithfully performed the many arduous duties of a school teacher.
The exhibition bespoke the good training her pupils have received. While all did well, we think Misses, Katie McGrath, Rubie Magee, Mame Flood and Leontine Cantoni are among those deserving of special notice. The bright little boys carried their parts out to perfection and looked so well we could hardly recognize them, so will have to forbear giving names. Many, or all of them received prizes for excellence in some study; also many of the young ladies. Miss McCloskey presented these in a most modest and graceful manner.
After the exhibition a dance was enjoyed by the young people until late in the night, during which delightful refreshments were served.
Thus ended another prosperous session of the Catholic school, and we feel assured that it is the desire of its many patrons that the present efficient teacher and accomplished lady retain her position for many years to come.
