The Inauguration Ball.—Donations.—We notice by the Globe, that the amount of receipts of the Inauguration ball held at Carusi's Saloon, on the evening of the 4th of March, was $1,525.58, and the expenses $3,392.43, leaving a cash balance of $1,133.15. The managers, at a meeting held on the 14th inst., with the liberality which does them the highest honor, appointed Messrs. W. H. Hammett, John T. Sullivan and T. P. Andrews a committee to present on behalf of the subscribers to the ball, the balance of cash on hand, in equal proportions, to the "Washington City Orphan Asylum," and the "St. Vincent Orphan Asylum." It was also directed that the list of subscribers, whose tickets were unredeemed, should be transferred to the first named institution. The committee have accordingly performed the pleasing duty, and presented each institution with the sum of $566.58, which is acknowledged by Mrs. A. Matthews, on behalf of St. Vincent's and by Mrs. Van Ness, on behalf of the Washington City Orphan Asylum.
