ADMIRAL BECKLEY PLANS FOR FUTURE
Admiral Beckley tendered his resignation to the Inter-Island Company yesterday as purser. He was for many, many years purser for the Wilder Steamship Company, and continued in the service of the Inter-Island after the latter bought out the former.
Admiral Beckley's future plans are not seem to be wholly settled. He has discussed them with a number of people. To these he has expressed his intention of going to San Francisco and buying or chartering a vessel to bring down to the islands and run in opposition to the Inter-Island Company. He also told them that he might charter a whaling vessel and command it in pursuit of the leviathans of the deep.
