Salt Lake.—A letter from Salt Lake, dated April 18th, states that the different settlements of Utah Territory are infested by organized bands of desperadoes and thieves who have practised their nefarious calling the past two years upon citizens and emigrants. Murders and burglaries have been so frequent that "patience has ceased to be a virtue." It is expected that a portion of the army at Camp Floyd will move about the latter part of this month. Exploring parties have returned from the Rio Colorado. They report having found lead ore, silver ore, and gold-bearing quartz.
