CORNERSTONE LAYING FOR MAY 11
WASHINGTON. May 4.-The laying of the cornerstone of the new building of the international bureau of the American republics, emphasizing the development of closer relations of friendship and commerce between the United States and the sister nations of the new world, will be held at Van Ness park, Seventeenth-st., between B and C-sts. N. W., at 3 p. m., May 11.
President Roosevelt, the secretary of state, the Brazilian ambassador, Cardinal Gibbons, Bishop Cranston and Andrew Carnegie will participate in the exercises. The program will include the reading of special messages of congratulation from the presidents of the Latin-American republics.
