Full Text

The law suits relative to the St. Eustatia prizes, taken by Lord Rodney in the late American war, are wholly finished. A curse seems to have attended that affair. His lordship died so poor that his body was buried by public charity; and upon division of the nett prize-money to the innumerable claimants, it appears that each common sailor is entitled to precisely one farthing: the bulk of this immense property, to the amount of nearly one million sterling, has been previously shared among the vultures of Westminster Hall and Doctors Commons.
