Murder & Robbery !!
Last Evening, about the hour of ten, the Store of the subscribers was discovered to be on Fire. On breaking open the store and examining, it was found that the boy, Shelton Edwards, a Son of Mr. Samuel Edwards, of this place, who slept in the Store, had been murdered having his brains beat out and his throat cut from ear to ear.
And that about seven hundred dollars, in bank Notes, and two hundred dollars, in silver had been taken.
No Goods have been taken that can be discovered : But a great part of what was in the Store, were damaged by the Fire, so as to render them almost useless.
