LONDON, Oct. 2 (UP)—The official German news agency DNB said today that a 200-ton British landing barge penetrated the harbor area of Boulogne on the French coast last night, but was set afire and sunk by shellfire.
Boulogne lies on the invasion coast across the English channel from Hastings and Folkestone.
The dispatch was broadcast by the Berlin radio.
(The federal communications commission said DNB identified the craft as a "light British vessel" which later was observed drifting outside the port.)
