On Sunday last arrived at Hampton, the Eagle, Capt. James Ewing, in 5 Weeks from Glasgow, who brings with him London Papers, which contain a Confirmation of the agreeable News inserted in our Gazette of the 16th Instant, to wit, That the King had been graciously pleased to give his Royal Assent to the Repeal of the Stamp-Act on the 18th of March last, which was the Day after it had passed the House of Lords.

Extract of a Letter from a Gentleman of undoubted Veracity at Princess-Anne, to another in this City.

"The King gave his Assent to the Repeal of the Stamp-Act the 18th of March, the Day after it passed the House of Lords.

This Account we have by a Scotch Ship in Five Weeks from some Place in Scotland, who brought London Papers, which I saw."
