MOSCOW, March 26-(P)- Twenty-four volleys from 324 guns roared into the cold snowswept sky over Moscow tonight in celebration of the Red army's drive to the Prut River border of Rumania.

The Moscow radio gave the news of Marshal Ivan Konev's tremendous new advance through northern Bessarabia to the people a few minutes ago and thousands of jubilant Muscovites are in the streets. Green, white, yellow, red and purple rockets burst above the city.

While there is no shouting or dancing, joy is registered in the faces of the people.

The salute to the victory was the largest Premier Marshal Joseph Stalin has ordered this winter.
