Full Text

FROM LAGUIRA.

Extract of a letter dated 3d inst. received at Baltimore.

All is quiet here and at Caraccas. Puerto Cabello still holds out, although the place is almost in ruins; upwards of 140 families have lately been sent out of the town, and the hot shots and shells from the republican army reach the centre of the city. The republican squadron sailed from here for the blockade of Puerto Cabello, two or three days ago, and as the Spanish frigate is gone to Havana, it is expected they will be able to prevent any vessel entering the harbor.
