Hague, Jan. 7. Several Letters affirm, that an Alliance is concluded between the Courts of Copenhagen and Berlin! by which the King of Denmark engages to furnish the King of Great Britain, as Elector of Hanover, with a Body of 8000 Men, which are to be re-partitioned into the Electorate for its Defence; and that another Body of 12000 Men will remain in the Duchy of Holstein at the Disposition of the King of Prussia. These Precautions are perhaps unnecessary, for it is certain that the Empress Queen is employing her utmost Efforts to divert the French King from his Design of invading Hanover.
