WILL PROBABLY BEGIN SOON.
That the Ringling railroad will have a new station in this city seems to be an assured fact. The plans and location have been approved by the state corporation commission, and a local contractor in this city who is very close to the Ringling interests, stated last night that in all probability work would begin soon. The corporation commission approved the plans which call for a building to cost not less than $35,000. In this building will be located all the general offices of the company.
If the report of the cost of this new structure is correct, some idea of what it will be, can be estimated when it is realized that the present union depot in this city cost approximately one-third of this figure.
It is also rumored that the Rock Island Railroad people will have an interest in the new project.
