GEORGIA.--The Legislature of Georgia convened at Milledgeville on the 6th inst. William Barber was chosen President of the Senate, and Benjamin Whitaker was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Governor Early's communication to the Legislature was made the next day, and shall be given hereafter.

The Legislature proceeding to the Election of a Governor for the ensuing year, the choice fell on Gen. D. B. Mitchell, who, on the second ballot, had a majority of 18 votes over Governor Early.
