MORE OF POTTER'S PAMPHLET.
We understand that the neat proceeds of Potter's very learned, ingenious, logical, musical and twistical Pamphlet, was intended to defray the expenses arising to the federal party, on the day of Election; and as we are at all times disposed to help our fellow creatures in all honourable, humane, and benevolent designs, we take the liberty of observing, that this book, (price one-pence to non-subscribers) is the work of the celebrated ELISHA R. POTTER. L.L.D. F.R.S. S.T.D. of this State, and the friend of Britain, and revised and corrected by the Right Honourable Sir, the Ex-No..ry. This last circumstance must cause this book to meet a very rapid sale, and, of course, be very productive to the author and printer thereof, independently of the above appropriation. We would advise that a copy of this elegant production, should be purchased for the Redwood Library. For, of its author, it may with truth be said,
So great an Ass ne'er wrote before,
Nor ne'er will, till He shall write once more.
We have been the more particular on this head, with a view to confute Dr. Morse's ill-natured censure on the literature of this State. And we hope that in the next edition of his American Universal Geography, the Rev. Dr. will speak in terms more respectful of the literature of our beloved and happy State. More hereafter.
