The Randolph (Mo.) Citizen is responsible for the following: "About one year ago Mr. James Davis, of Monroe county (near the Randolph line), an old gentleman eighty years of age, was taken with something like pneumonia, and for a long time the balances between life and death were equally poised. Finally, however, he recovered. Before his sickness his eyesight was nearly gone, his limbs trembled as if from palsy, his teeth were decayed and gone, so that, had he died, death would have gained but a slim victory, as the old veteran had well nigh run his course. So his friends thought then. But mark the strange sequel. "Health and vigor have not only returned, so that with good roads the old gentleman walks four miles to church, but his nerves are perfectly steady, his eyesight is so completely restored that he can read the finest print, and a new set of teeth have grown out and taken the place of the old ones! Verily, verily, the day of miracles does not seem to be over yet."
