Frank "Blackie" Sherry was admitted to Trinity hospital in Wolf Point Sunday evening shortly after six o'clock suffering with head injuries sustained in an altercation in front of Hall's bar.
Shortly after the incident Undersheriff Frank Delger and Police Officer Robert Wilkens took "Shorty" Wilson and his sister, Jennie, who were directly involved, and several other witnesses to the county jail for questioning. Later Sunday evening all were released.
To date no charges have been filed. The case has been taken over by the federal government and officer Hillary Brown of the Indian service has been conducting an investigation.
It is alleged that Wilson and his sister, Jennie, had struck Sherry with the butt of a shotgun after they had been threatened with a pistol by Sherry. The incident is alleged to be the outgrowth of some previous trouble between Sherry and members of the Wilson family.
