THE MIGHTY FALLEN.

Another race war. This time it is in the northern town of Danville, in the northern state of Illinois. It is remarkable that these northern people should so far forget their former protests against negro oppression, which were hurled broadcast at the south whenever a lynching occurred there, and more than follow the example of the object of their wrath and indignation.

The recent happenings in Wilmington, in Evansville, and in Danville emphasize one thing particularly, and that is that, notwithstanding all boasts, no one section of the country is possessed of all the country's morality, even when it comes to dealing with the negro question, and that human nature is pretty much the same the nation over, whether it be Maine, Florida or California.
