A Financial Success.

WASHINGTON, March 7.—The inauguration committee achieved an unprecedented financial success. Twelve thousand tickets to the ball were sold. The receipts from this source will be $60,000. There were about 16,000 tickets sold to the promenade concerts Tuesday at 50 cents each, and the ball tickets are still being sold as souvenirs for $1 each. It is expected that these receipts will foot up $70,000. There will be a surplus of $20,000 or more after paying all expenses and returning all of the $50,000 guarantee to the subscribers.

Mr. George Boldt, who served the supper at the inaugural ball, has distributed among the charitable institutions all of the provisions which were not used on the night of the ball.
