Full Text

Referring to the will of the late Edwin Forrest, the Philadelphia Age remarks, "that no mention is made in it of Mrs. Forrest, who, we believe, was never divorced from her husband, and may assert her rights as a widow. These, in Pennsylvania, will not materially diminish the bequest of the real estate, for in it the widow has only a life estate in one-third, and that is but a transient interruption of a bequest to a permanent charity. In the personal estate, Mrs. Forrest, unless there has been some obstacle interposed by voluntary stipulation, will, we suppose, have an absolute interest in one-third."
