VARNA, April 1.--The Turks do not allow their dead to be buried, or even removed, by persons not being Mahomedans. When the Russians entered Varna, 31 naked human bodies were found, lying in a pool of rain water, at the corner of a cross street. But they bury their fellow believers within the fortress, wherever they can find room by merely covering them with clay. On this account they place sentinels to prevent the dogs from devouring them. Many thousand human bodies. and a great number of cattle have been buried at Varna since autumn, by being just huddled under ground in any corner. These and other abominations must inevitably produce diseases, especially as the climate is very variable and insalubrious amongst the mountainous districts, and carries off a number of men and cattle during autumn and winter. Great apprehensions are therefore entertained on account of the heat increasing in spring. Several Turkish physicians from the fortresses of Shumla, Silistria. and Rudshok, have fled to the Russians, for the Pachas had threatened them with decapitation, unless they could check the mortality after some months, which they magnanimously allowed them. Amongst these physicians are several that have studied at German Universities.
