BALTIMORE, JUNE 1

This morning a man was brought before a Justice of Peace in this city, charged with having fired a pistol, loaded with a brace of bullets, at a Negro Boy, which wounded him severely in the head. It appears the boy was a slave, and the prisoner as guardian of his owner was about to sell him to a slave dealer to be carried out of the State; and the boy refused to go with the dealer, and attempted to apply to his real owner to interfere and prevent the sale, when the agent first beat him cruelly, and then fired at him as above stated. The justice committed him for trial at the next court.
