To Discuss Extensions Kerr Bill

Washington, March 19.--(AP)--Extension of the tobacco control program for three more years will be discussed at a conference called for today by Representative Kerr, Democrat, North Carolina, co-author of the Kerr-Smith regulatory measure.

The Kerr-Smith regulatory plan, which levies a tax on tobacco produced in excess of quotas, expires this year, but Representative Kerr has announced his intention to introduce a bill extending its provisions through 1938.

Members of Congress from tobacco-producing states have been invited to the conference at Kerr's office. The representative hopes to ascertain what changes, if any, are desired.
