J. Ernest Wilkins Warns Against Blocs

BALTIMORE (ANP) Assistant Secretary of Labor, J. Ernest Wilkins last week warned against the formation of world "blocs."

Addressing the Baltimore NAACP branch, he said there was danger that the world would be broken up into racial blocks such as "Asia for the Asians, Africa for the Negroes, Europe for white people and America for whoever can get in."

Wilkins said that the NAACP, which is organized on a non-racial basis, demonstrated what was needed in the world today, "not a fraternity among racial groups, but a fraternity among men of all races who seek justice."
