COURT OPENS DURING DAY
JUDGE RAYMOND OF SEVENTH DISTRICT SITTING FOR JUDGE TIDBALL FOR TERM.
Breach of Promise Case On Change of Venue From Carbon County Dismissed By Plaintiff-First Criminal Case Called and Case Goes Over Until Tuesday Morning.
Judge Raymond of Newcastle, judge of the Seventh judicial district, is in the city and this morning presided in the district court, the criminal docket having been assigned to him, Judge Tidball of the Second district returning to Rawlins to resume the March term of the Carbon county district court. The first case called today was that of Effie J. Snyder against Andy Nelson, breach of promise, brought to this city on change of venue, C. M. Eby of this city and Mr. Garwood of Rawlins appearing for the plaintiff and N. E. Corthell of Laramie and Mr. Brimmer of Rawlins appearing for the defendant. Before the jury had been sworn the case was dismissed, on motion of the plaintiff. Miss Snyder asked for damages in $10,000 as a balm for her wounded heart.

First Criminal Case.
The first case on the criminal docket was called this afternoon, that of the state against Tony Fernando, a Mexican, charged with the theft of two suits of clothes from C. E. Blair of the White House. The jury was sworn and dismissed until 9 o'clock tomorrow, the case having been set for that hour and none of the witnesses being on hand this afternoon. The jury consists of the following: Harry Dunlap, Earl Williams, Alfred Cook, Thomas M. Michelson, Ed Johnson, John Barth, Joe Lane, E. D. Carter, H. R. Ingham, Charles Daily, William Matheson and Ed H. Henry.
