Full Text

Great Britain, says a correspondent, never was in a more formidable situation than at present. A fleet of 20 ships of the line will be ready to sail in a week: and if the petulance of France, or the haughtiness of Spain, required it, 20 more could be fit for service by the beginning of June. Some say that the present fleet is designed only as a fleet of observation: It is certain, however, that it has had a severe effect upon our funds, though we believe it has not been prejudicial to any sort of merchandise.
