Full Text
Going to the cabin of the gang in the silver camp yesterday morning, Detective Reimer found and covered with a revolver seven of its members guarding the cache. Although two of them had revolvers and the remainder were well armed with knives, they were so completely taken by surprise by Detective Reimer that they showed no disposition to use their weapons and immediately obeyed his command to throw up their hands.
Single-handed, Detective Reimer searched the pockets of the seven miners of the gang in the cabin. Considering that the recovery of the ore was of more importance than the immediate capture of the seven thieves, Detective Reimer permitted them to leave the cabin and temporarily make their escape, since he was without aid to march them to the county jail. The high-graders cache contained twenty sacks of ore that is easily worth $3000. Much of it is specimen rock. After finding the ore Detective Reimer hired three automobiles and removed it from the cabin.
