Opens Door to Neighbors
The Edgemoor Citizens Association voted unanimously this week to expand its membership to include a group of neighboring homeowners who were without previous representation in a citizens association.
The new addition includes territory west of Fairfax and Clarendon roads, north of Bradley blvd., east of Glenbrook rd. and south of Elm st.
Mrs. Roderick H. Cox presented the Association with a petition signed by 100 homeowners desirous of membership.
President Bernard F. Hillenbrand said the group has many problems similar to those of the Edgemoor, namely traffic, parking, and other problems "resulting from irresponsible use of the adjacent commercial area."
Any parking allowed on widened Arlington blvd., Montgomery County traffic expert Earl C. Williams, jr., told the association is apt to be "very short lived."
Through traffic in residential areas, said Williams, is set in the planning stage and concerned homebuyers should consult the planning commission for available information.
