Full Text

By prisoners lately brought into the port of Philadelphia by the Fair American privateer; we learn, that advice had been received in Britain and Ireland, by way of New-York and Charlestown, of seven or eight of these States being completely subjugated, or who had submitted and were actually in the King's peace.

Also, that the merchants of the three kingdoms were striving who should be foremost in sending out cargoes to this Continent, as it was thought the demand for English articles would be prodigious, after going six years without victuals or clothing.

[The Philadelphia merchants, in particular, thank these gentlemen for their good will, and in return have concluded to send a number of swift sailing vessels to conduct as many of these adventurers as they can meet, into port, pilotage free.]
