Spelling Honors In County Schools Won by Girl, 17

With an average of 91 per cent on tests conducted in history, spelling, reading and arithmetic at Milwaukee State Teachers' college late yesterday, Margaret Goodman, 12, daughter of Nicholas Goodman, West Allis, won the honor of representing Milwaukee county in the state school contest to be held at the 1928 state fair.

Margaret is in the seventh grade of the Jefferson school in Greenfield.

Chester Andrzejezak, Hickory Grove school, Oak Creek, was second and Lee Chronert, Nicholson Read school, town of Lake, third.
