Last Monday the inhabitants of this town met agreeable to notification in town-meeting, for the purpose of taking into consideration the plan proposed by the Hon. General-Court, for an emission of paper money, when after a warm and spirited debate on both sides, voted, that the plan would not answer the design it was intended for; they then proceeded and chose a committee to draw up a memorial, setting forth the reasons why said plan would not answer, who are to present the same to the General Court, at their next session, after laying it before the town-meeting on Monday next, to which time the meeting stands adjourned.
