NEW-YORK, November 1.

Extract of a letter from an eminent mercantile house in Lisbon, to a gentleman in Baltimore, dated August 16, 1786.

We are extremely happy to acquaint you, that by a letter from Tangiers, of the 15th July, we are informed, that a few days before Mr. Barclay, the American Ambassador, had concluded his negociation with the Emperor of Morocco, to his entire satisfaction, having made a treaty of peace on the very same terms as that between the Emperor and the King of Spain. This intelligence you may depend upon. The negociation at Algiers has not proved so successful.
