Letters from the Hague say, that an Ambassador there was, with good Grounds, suspected of having defeated the Negociation of Count d'Usfeldt with the States General, for a Loan of six Millions, in Favour of the Emperor: Many Circumstances confirm this Opinion. Whether however, this be Fact or not, that Ambassador, disgusted at the Obstacles he has hitherto met with upon this Subject, has desir'd the Court of Vienna to permit him to absent himself for some Time, under Pretence that the Waters of Carlsbad are necessary for the Preservation of his Health.
