We can announce with certainty, that the fees on foreign vessels entering under the Free Port act, will be precisely the same as those taken from British vessels.
It is supposed that all imports and exports, between this province and the United States, whether in foreign or British vessels, will soon, in consequence of expected alterations, centre at this place, render all property liable to seizure, that may be brought across the lines of Passamaquoddy, in the irregular manner which has been so long prevalent; excluding from entry all property imported from the States into the province excepting St. Johns.
